Protection of girls and boys from all forms of violence is an urgent issue for the international community, which cannot be ignored or omitted from the post-2015 agenda. The main focus of this report is to review National Consultations on the Post-2015 Development Agenda and children’s call for inclusion of child protection from violence as a priority and cross-cutting concern in the new Sustainable Development Goals.

The consultations revealed children’s deep concern for the violence affecting their lives and the lives of those who are marginalized. Children perceive violence as both a distinct priority in the post-2015 agenda and as a cross-cutting issue that needs to be addressed in other development goals, especially those set for education, health, gender equality and poverty eradication.
