Teaching and curricula must respond to students’ individual backgrounds, cultures and learning styles, allowing meaningful participation and development. Education should be of high quality, relevant and useful, ensuring that students leave not only with basic levels of education, but also with the skills required to seize further opportunities for employment and learning.
