What about the children? Antiretroviral roll-out in South Africa. Where do children feature?

In 2003, the South African government approved the national roll-out plan for the “Comprehensive Care and Treatment for HIV and AIDS”. This report explores whether the health needs of some 240 000 children with HIV-infection are comprehensively addressed in this plan. The report aims to contribute to addressing the health needs of children with HIV-infection through a comprehensive policy and programme response, highlighting the specific needs of children in the national HIV/AIDS treatment programme
