2020 was the year when COVID-19 changed everything. The pandemic has devastated millions of children’s lives, setting back decades of hard-fought progress for their education, health, protection and well-being.

In 2020, children’s rights remained at the heart of our work. With the help of our supporters, donors, partners, staff and volunteers, we are proud to say that we directly reached nearly 45 million children, responded to 136 emergencies and accomplished over 100 advocacy and campaign successes, many of which were achieved working side by side with children.

The collection of stories and snapshots of our work in this review, many of which are in children’s own voices, shows what life was like for them in 2020 and how we worked with them to protect their rights and secure their futures.
