NGO Group for the Convention on the Rights of the Child

This booklet is a useful tool for NGOs accompanying children during the CRC reporting process and beyond, for on-going child and youth participation in the monitoring and implementation of the CRC and its Optional Protocols at the national level. The guidelines were derived directly from experiences of NGO’s as well as children who have worked together in preparing and submitting reports to the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child. The book provides case studies, practical materials, check lists and tips that NGO’s may adapt in their own work on supporting children’s participation in human rights monitoring work. The guide should be used in conjunction with “My Pocket Guide to CRC reporting – A companion guide for children and adolescents willing to tell the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child about how children’s rights are respected in their country”.
