This material was designed for parents of preschool children (from 3 to 6 years old) and provides practical responses to the educational challenge that they face with their children when raising them.

In particular, this learning tool has been designed for parents to help their children to develop the right social skills and behavior, in order to have healthy relationships and be successful in their life once they grow up. This normally involves great efforts from parents, who need to be able to recognize the emotions of their children understand them and establish the correct communication with them on a daily basis, regardless of their available time or emotional mood. This scenario is only possible if a strong relationship is built between parents and children and both are “intelligent partners” emotionally speaking.

Given this scenario, this material provides the basic information, tools and support to parents to teach their children how to apply emotional intelligence and educate them, from a social and emotional perspective, starting at a very young age.

In order to do this, this resource offers a set of basic educational tools, based on scientifically validated information and consisting on a theoretical part describing the principles of the child’s development at preschool age and on a practical part, with exercises and recommendation addressing common situations in developing emotional intelligence abilities for children. Exercises and games are available for parents and can be used separately, based on each family’s needs.
