Save the Children

In the last generation there have been remarkable improvements in children’s chances of survival – thanks to concerted efforts by local communities, national governments, donors and international agencies. But there’s no room for complacency. Every day, 18,000 children under the age of five still die from preventable causes. As we approach 2015, there are three major challenges to achieving MDG 4:

  • the lack of progress in tackling malnutrition
  • the slow progress in reducing the number of children dying in their first month
  • the fact that some children are excluded from the progress being made.

As a global campaign report, this publication presents a snapshot of the Every One Campaign across the world.
