Supplementary report to China’s 2nd periodic report on the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child submitted by the Society for Community Organization and the Hong Kong Human Rights Commission, which concerns the rights of the poor child in Hong Kong. Children hit the highest poverty rate (28%) in Hong Kong, their living standards and development opportunities being sadly compromised. There are 378 500 children under 18 living in poverty in Hong Kong.
