The Rights of the Child and the Physical Environment - The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and other Relevant International Agreements
Save the Children Sweden (SCS) has been developing a focus on children’s environments, and especially the environments of urban children in low-income countries. As part of SCS's initial exploration, a number of background documents have been produced, including this report. Its main objective is to review how international agreements can be used to enhance the rights of children and adolescents to a healthy and enabling physical environment. The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child serves as an organising framework in reviewing the relationship between children and their environment.
