Although the right to asylum is provided by a European and international legal framework that is legally binding on all EU member states, unaccompanied children face many obstacles when accessing their right to asylum in Europe. This publication, coordinated by France d’Asile, presents a comparative study of the existing regulations and conditions of unaccompanied minors seeking asylum in all 27 EU Member States. The overall aim of the study is to identify good practices, gaps and ways to improve the implementation of the right to asylum for unaccompanied children within the European Union.
