Rapid Gender Assessment of Youth in Action Program in Uganda

Youth in Action (YiA) is a six-year learning and livelihood program. In partnership with The MasterCard Foundation, YiA aims to improve the socio-economic status of approximately 40,000 rural out-of-school young people, both girls and boys, in Burkina Faso, Egypt, Ethiopia, Malawi, and Uganda.

In December 2016, a three-day field visit to the Youth in Action program in Fort Portal, Uganda, took place with the aim of gaining insight on gender equality issues and how they are being addressed by the program. Read about the findings of the rapid gender assessment within this report.
