Quality child care indicators: East and Central Africa

This document provides a set of basic indicators for quality childcare. If implemented, children in non-family care settings will gain a more positive experience of childhood and be supported in building resiliency as a foundation for the future lives as contributing adults in their society. Further, they will be spared the many disadvantages faced by children without families or primary carers.This document is dedicated to all the agencies, partners, carers and children who work together for the benefit of children living without their families or a primary carer.
