Protecting children and women from violence in Jordan through support to the Family Protection Department. Child Protection Case Study -Jordan

A case study of Save the Children’s work in Jordan in relation to child protection and family strengthening, and its partnering with the Government of Jordan to develop a collaborative multi-disciplinary child protection system. This innovative programme, started by Save the Children Denmark in 2005, inititally focused on addressing the issue of domestic violence. The programme has now been expanded to new areas of work, such as alternative care for children, outreach to refugees, juvenile policies, etc. A separate case study on Save the Children's child protection work with civil society organisations in Jordan has also been published, available through the link provided under "Related documents".
