Our Right to Be Protected from Violence addresses the principle that children have the right to be protected from violence by drawing on the 2006 United Nations Secretary-General’s Study on Violence against Children and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. It provides 18 activities that can be used to help others learn about these issues, and ideas for taking action against violence.
It is mainly intended for youth leaders and peer educators who work with groups of young people aged 12–18 in community centres, youth groups and other settings, but it can also be used by teachers and other adults who work with young people aged 12–18.
This material has been developed in collaboration with the International Save the Children Alliance, UNICEF, and the World Organisation of the Scout Movement.
