Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the Sale of Children, Child Prostitution and Child Pornography
This optional protocol to the Convention of the Rights of the Child explicitly adds the prohibition of the sale of children, child prostitution, and child pornography. The rise in the international trafficking of children, child pornography on the internet, and the rise of sex tourism trumpeted the need for addendum to the Convention on the Rights of the Child that addressed these issues.
