Numeracy Boost is a research-based toolkit made for teachers, students, and the entire community. It focuses on providing children with the basic math skills needed to thrive in daily life. Through games, activities, small group work, and discussion, children learn about fundamental math topics like counting, addition, subtraction, geometry and measurement. Teachers participate in math training sessions that help them think differently and more flexibly about how to teach math. Community action activities engage parents and other members of the community in math activities that reinforce the idea that math is all around us and not just a subject taught in school.

This endline report presents an assessment of Numeracy Boost programmes piloted in 25 primary schools in Egypt. Save the Children Egypt staff worked closely the Ministry of Education partners to revise and modify existing tools, materials, and curricula. As a result, the Numeracy Boost approach has been spread and scaled up throughout the year in all schools in the Assiut Governorate. This report presents the progress children at grade 3 have made in their numeracy skills.
