In addition, guidance is provided on how to break the silence surrounding the issue of menstruation and build confidence and competence in WASH. Users of this publication are also encouraged to participate in advocacy on menstrual hygiene and collaborate with other relevant sectors.

All professionals who are involved with or concerned for improving the lives of girls and women are welcome to use this publication. Those who will benefit most from its contents are WASH sector professionals, as well as professionals within the sectors of health, sexual and reproductive health and rights, education, community development, protection, and gender.
