Country Profiles on the Status of the Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and its Optional Protocols, covering Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia. The report aims to detect the existing challenges and gaps, highlight the progress made and identify the child rights policies and practices that are developed by the States parties of the North African region. The overall objective is to fill the disparities in monitoring children’s rights at the national and regional level, and facilitate the implementation of the CRC and its Optional Protocols globally by providing successful international practices that could be implemented in the countries covered by this report.
