This is an introductory course about Parenting without Violence; Save the Children’s response to violence in and around the home. It is designed for Save the Children staff and for use with select implementing partners. Please do not share the course link further.

Aim: To gain a basic understanding of the Parenting without Violence Common Approach in order to be able to promote its use.

Learning Outcomes: By the end of this course, participants will –

  1. Know why Parenting without Violence is important in improving the lives of the most marginalized children
  2. Know how Parenting without Violence works
  3. Be able to talk about and engage on Parenting without Violence with others
  4. Be able to identify ways to integrate Parenting without Violence into their work

Course Requirements:

  • You must have a Resource Centre account and be logged in to access this training. To create a free account, click on the “Create an Account” link in the menu.
  • The course takes approximately 2 hours to complete.
  • Watch 3 modules which are pre-recorded and available anytime via this course page
  • Complete required readings and videos associated with the

    module

  • After completing all of the above, take a short assessment

Once all requirements are successfully completed, participants receive a Bronze level certificate.
