Save the Children implemented a child rights program, titled CHAON “Children’s Action against Oppression and Neglect”, in 200 villages of Muzaffarghar (Punjab) and 150 villages of Sanghar (Sindh) from 2009 to 2013. This project was implemented in partnership with the IKEA Foundation. Among the project outcomes was the creation of community organizations and community-based organizations. These organizations, at the early stages of maturity, worked for child rights with an emphasis on health, education, child protection and also worked to resolve social issues especially related to children and women. Two important issues addressed were early marriages and child labour.

This evaluation pertains to the first phase of this project and will be used as a basis for future planning for Phase II.
