Humanitarian Action for Children 2021: Ukraine

Women and children in eastern Ukraine are still extremely vulnerable due to seven years of conflict. The conflict has largely negative consequences on civilians. Damaged homes and social infrastructure has led to mine contamination and limited access to services, which increases the risk of mental and physical illness for children. These challenges are exacerbated by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

This appeal describes the challenges faced in Ukraine, and the strategies used by UNICEF to respond to these.
