The conflict in the Cabo Delgado province has intensified the humanitarian situation in Mozambique. Basic services have been severely disrupted and around 425,000 people are displaced. Food insecurity is affecting over 135,000 people and nearly 28,000 children are acutely malnourished. The conflict in Cabo Delgado has also caused increased the violence against civilians and children. This appeal describes the crises in Mozambique, and the strategies used by UNICEF to respond to these.
