Humanitarian Action for Children 2021: Democratic Republic of the Congo

The Democratic Republic of Congo are facing a staggering scale and complexity situation concerning humanitarian needs and protection. The vulnerability is heightening by pre-existing poverty and weak essential service systems, recurrent armed conflict, acute malnutrition and major epidemic outbreaks such as the COVID-19 pandemic. This appeal describes the ongoing crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the strategies used by UNICEF to respond to these.
