Children for Health
This child-friendly book follows Mika as he suddenly falls ill due to a lack of micronutrients: he is not able to enjoy football and play as well as he did in past. The story teaches important lessons about micronutrients and the problems that occur when your diet lacks proper nutrients. The story is followed by suggestions for discussion and comprehension activities, classroom or club activities, and a brief of eight core messages that constitute the Children’s Participation in Learning and Action for Nutrition (PCAAN) programme.
The story How to Be Good at Football is for children aged 10–14 depending on their reading ability. They can also read it to younger children. Its focus is on creative thinking, problem solving and nutrition.
