The Healthy Transitions for Nepali Youth Project aimed to improve reproductive, maternal and newborn health (RMNH) knowledge and practices among married and unmarried adolescent girls and young women (aged 15-24), as well as foster more equitable gender attitudes and norms. In Nepal, RMNH self-care options are nascent, and additional insight into the self-care knowledge and preferences of adolescent girls and young women is needed to inform future investment. To contribute toward filling this research gap, Healthy Transitions collaborated with the USAID-funded Research for Scalable Solutions (R4S) project to gain insight into adolescent girls’ and young women’s interest in self-care by including relevant questions in the endline survey. This brief outlines the findings and reflections on possible next steps.
