Handbook for the Care of Unaccompanied Minors in Switzerland: A practical guide for professionals

This handbook was developed in close cooperation with specialists from Western and German-speaking Switzerland working with unaccompanied minors, as well as in cooperation with various specialist organizations in the fields of children’s rights and migration. The method presented in this handbook provides a framework for the accommodation and care of unaccompanied minors.

In nine stages, the guide provides advice and practical tools for those involved in the field. In particular, the focus is on the identification, supervision, clarification of the situation, and support in the transition to the age of adulthood of these unaccompanied minors and adolescents.
