Guidelines for MONUC’s Military on Child Protection

This briefing note aims at helping MONUC’s military identify useful actions they should undertake in relation to child protection in the course of their work. With their monitoring role, MONUC’s military can be very useful to find an immediate solution for children at imminent risk or those submitted to abuse. It is important for MONUC’s military to understand the critical need to share information with their respective CPS colleagues about dangerous or abusive situation they might have witness about children, and contribute with MONUC Child Protection section to be able to take action.
