Guidelines for African States to Protect the Rights of Women and Girls During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Women and girls will be disproportionately affected and, unless their rights are protected, deprived of justice. All measures taken in response to the COVID-19 must uphold and protect human rights. States must also ensure that these responses include a gender approach, in order to ensure the rights of women and girls.
