Guaranteeing Access to Health for Undocumented Migrants in Europe: What Role Can Local and Regional Authorities Play?

PICUM’s new report Guaranteeing Access to Health Care for Undocumented Migrants in Europe: What Role Can Local and Regional Authorities Play? outlines the crucial role played by local and regional authorities in ensuring the implementation of fundamental rights of undocumented migrants, with the particular example of access to health care. The report is the outcome of a roundtable discussion held by PICUM together with EUROCITIES at the Committee of the Regions in Brussels on 12 December 2012. The roundtable addressed discrepancies between national and local level regulations and practices on access to health care for undocumented migrants. The report provides a set of recommendations to all actors involved which are also included in French, Spanish and Italian.
