Finding the Final Fifth: Inequalities in immunisation

Vaccination works, and every child has the right to benefit from it. This report identifies the final fifth of unimmunised children and why they aren’t being reached. Every child has a right to healthcare, including immunisation, as part of an essential package of health services. However, one-fifth of children worldwide are still missing out on immunisation.Whether or not children are immunised is not down to chance: the distribution of unimmunised children corresponds to gross inequalities both across and within countries.
This is the first of two reports identifing who these 19.3 million unimmunised children are and why they aren’t being reached.
