Inaccessibility to Family Planning in crisis situations is something that affects over 32.15 million women and girls around the world. It is a preventative measure to address disease, early pregnancies, and other life-threatening conditions. Although global partners have vowed to tackle this problem under the mandate of FP2020, a lack of prioritisation and budgeting keeps family planning from becoming incorporated in emergency responses.

In preparation for the Family Planning Summit (June 2017) and the Inter-agency Working Group on Reproductive Health in Crises (IAWG) expert consultation (April 2017), the International Rescue Commission alongside other crucial partners, convened donors and stakeholders to compile recommendations for the Family Planning Summit. This report contains the findings that were uncovered during this consultation.
