Brazil’s Zero Hunger programme is one of the most dramatic and best documented examples of a country successfully reducing malnutrition. However, despite significant progress, the programme did not entirely eradicate Brazil’s nutrition burden. Brazilian society is characterized by a high degree of social inequality and many children are being left behind.
