A Save the Children magazine featuring recent news items on the work of the organization. The major articles cover the inauguration of Save the Children Centre in Madrid; the 2011 edition of the State of the World’s Mothers; and the crisis in the Ivory Coast, which touches on the topic of the thousands of children who are still out of school. Other issues addressed in the report are Save the Children’s response during the disaster relief effort in the wake of the earthquake/tsunami in Japan in March 2011, the earthquake that rocked the town of Lorca in southeastern Spain in May of the same year, and the unrest in the Middle East.
