Education Sector Snapshot for Comprehensive School Safety and Education in Emergencies

The Education Sector Snapshot provides an overview of a country’s education sector, including information and data pertaining to demographics, hazards and risks, disaster risk management and comprehensive school safety. This document is the template that should be used to create this snapshot. Members of the country’s education sector cluster, education and Disaster Risk Reduction working groups or task forces should update the different sections. The document should be given as ‘airplane reading’ and as a briefing for advocates, program planners, managers, team members, and policy-makers arriving to the country to support comprehensive school safety and education sector development and strategic planning. The snapshot can also be used as a resource that provides baseline information about the education sector.
