Disaster Risk Reduction in the Education Sector: Bhutan
In 2011, Save the Children in Bhutan began child-centered DRR training in five districts, with focus on increasing the capacity of schools and children to prepare for and respond to disasters, by training disaster-focal teachers and creating a policy environment to adopt school disaster management plans at government level.
This poster provides a brief description of Save the Children’s programmes on Disaster Risk Reduction in the education sector in Bhutan.
