Promoting the principle of non-discrimination has become one of the main tasks for Save the Children Sweden in its follow-up of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. This reference guide is part of a broader regional programme on non-discrimination carried out by Save the Children Sweden’s Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean. The objective of the guide is to describe the discrimination against boys and girls in the South American region and the ways to combat it.The document is divided into five parts, all of them enriched and highlighted by testimonials from men and women, boys and girls from the region. Statistical data and concrete cases of discrimination by country are presented.
