Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Programs for Pre-schoolers: A synthesis of current evidence

This research project, consigned by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse and carried out by Claudia Pitts, investigates how institutions with a responsibility for children have managed and responded to allegations and instances of sexual abuse. This project is part of a greater collection of research themes, focusing on how child sexual abuse in institutions can be prevented. More specifically, the project seeks to determine the effectiveness of pre-school child sexual abuse prevention programs.

The findings are listed and described from a Theory of Change perspective, showing short-, medium-, and longer-term impacts on children’s knowledge of concepts related to sexual abuse.
