‘Child Protection Implementation Guidelines – International Programs’, is a child protection resource developed by Save the Children Australia’s Child Protection Technical Unit. The Guidelines demonstrate Save the Children Australia’s commitment to children’s rights and bring its policies and procedures in line with the requirements of the SCI Save Child Safeguarding Protocol. The SCI Child Safeguarding Protocol describes the policies and procedures that each Member is required to apply and monitor in order to ensure that children are respected and protected from abuse and sexual exploitation of any sort. Thus, these Guidelines are designed to assist all staff and associates in their commitment to protect children from abuse or exploitation, promote the rights of children and work with children to ensure their best interests are promoted. They also aim to protect staff and associates by setting clear boundaries for their work with children and communities.
