Case Study.Ensuring protection and adequate care for Children in Dadaab Refugee camps, Kenya

Case Study from Kenya concerning the Dadaab overcrowded refugee camps, home to many refugees, mostly from Somalia, who are being denied proper healthcare, food, and education. Save the Children is responsible for the effective implementation of the Best Interest Determination (BID) project at camp level and for linking closely with the overall child protection work that Save the Children’s Programme is undertaking in the refugee camps. Save the Children Kenya has been working through BID to protect children, capacity build caregivers and facilitate the creation of a framework for ensuring accountability
