Case Study: Working to bring children and youth back to school and to keep them in school till they graduate

In Comuna I, one of Medellíns poorest neighbourhoods, children face exclusion from school for a variety of reasons. Many miss classes and Save the Children’s Accelerated Learning project has been working to bring children and youth back to school and to keep them in school till they graduate. Additionally the project aims to increase the participation of students in the training and assure that the tools acquired by the students in the resolution of conflicts will be used to create a culture of peace in the school and help guide the life projects of the participants.
