Broken Links: Psychosocial support for people separated from family members

This training module, with accompanying field guide and Power Point, are designed to support staff and volunteers who work or may be in contact with families who have been separated from their loved ones. Information is presented to the user about the psychosocial impact of separation from family members, causes of separation, and how to provide support to people who have been separated. An additional section is included on self-care, providing support for staff and volunteers under stress.

Hand-outs, questionnaires, and the Power Point are provided to aid in the training process. Each can be tailored according to the needs of the training situation.
