The Article 15 project is a new long-term research and development collaboration between WorldVision, Save the Children Norway, UNICEF and Childwatch International and coordinated by the Children’s Environments Research Group (CERG) of the City University of New York. It was created to support the capacities of children and young people around the world to self-organize and fulfill their rights, in partnership with adults, by:
– Raising awareness around Article 15 and children’s right to self-organize;
– Developing tools for the establishment, management, and sustainability of child-managed groups; – Supporting children and adults to work in partnership by designing a process that strengthens their understanding and respect for one another.
The Article 15 Resource Kit includes 20 tools within 10 modules, with each module addressing a different theme on how children’s groups organize themselves. Module 9 helps children’s groups identify resources in the community that may help support their efforts. This may include social resources like adults or other children who might help your group, material resources, as well as physical resources like meeting spaces.
