Annual report of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence against Children, 2014

This is an annual report of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence Against Children to the Human Rights Council of the UN General Assembly.

The report presents a review of major developments towards sustaining and increasing efforts for children’s protection from violence. The Special Representative is a high-profile, global and independent advocate for the prevention and elimination of violence against children. She has conducted over 90 missions in more than 50 countries to advance national initiatives, promote her mandate to national stakeholders and the public. This annual report presents both accomplishments and arenas for further development in the goal towards a world free from violence against children.
