Abuse among child domestic workers: A research study in West Bengal

More than 50,000 children are employed in domestic work in the Indian region of West Bengal. This study - carried out by Save the Children over a four-year period in six districts of West Bengal - found that these children were routinely subjected to many different forms of abuse from unsafe working conditions and lack of food to being beaten, deliberately burnt or sexually abused.
