Youth Empowerment in Bulgari (YEB) Programme: Key learnings

The key findings, recommendations and learnings of the Youth Empowerment Bulgari (YEB) Programme, implemented in Albania, Bolivia, Nepal and Uganda, are presented in this report in six key areas:

1. The model works
2. Cost efficiency
3. Adaptation and scalability
4. Gender and inclusion
5. Sustainability
6. Monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) processes.

Evidence for each of these areas was gathered through a cross-country research, an impact assessment of the YEB programme in Bolivia (a randomised control trial with 600 AYs carried out with the Laboratory for Effective Anti-Poverty Programs at Bocconi University), a final programme evaluation, as well as through workshops and field visits with implementing COs (Community of Practice).
