Published by the Ombudsman for Children in Sweden, this tool is intended to help those who work with children, either directly or indirectly, to listen to and make the views of children heard. The tool ‘Unga Direkt’, Young Speakers, is comprised of six stages that are to be used in sequence or individually, according to need.

The core of the tool relies upon the user to seriously listen to what children and youth have to say. The user has to listen and let children finish talking, without influencing with judgments and opinions.

Unga Direkt provides the user with important knowledge, information, and ideas from children and youth. It has many applications, including aiding in forming consequence analysis that can potentially impact children.
