The experience of young people’s engagement in development efforts during the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) suggests that in order to effectively address global challenges, the post-2015 framework should be underpinned by effective accountability mechanisms at all levels. From local to global, these mechanisms must respond to the rights and needs of those most affected and take into account their views and voices.
