Save the Children Spain
This report from Save the Children Spain shows that cyberbullying is a form of harassment and violence that occurs between children. Save the Children Spain surveyed over 21,000 students between the age of 12 and 16 in order to understand the occurrence and ramification of cyberbullying.
The survey finds that a “law of silence” amongst children prevents authorities from understanding the full extent and spread of cyberbullying. As a result, public authorities have been mostly reactive to only the most serious cases of harassment. The occurrence of “everyday” harassment remain invisible and unaddressed. Save the Children demands broader and more comprehensive strategies to combat this form of violence against children.
