Save the Children

Around the world, discussions are currently taking place on the framework that will replace the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) when they come to an end in 2015. Save the Children is committed to ensuring that the process of developing this new framework is inclusive and consultative and that children’s voices are heard and heeded – from problem identification to project design, from implementation to evaluation. This document incorporates the views of 66 children from vulnerable areas of the Eastern and Southern Province of Sri Lanka about their priorities for change in the post-2015 MDG framework, and identifies 7 key child protection issues of importance to children.

Save the Children, together with World Vision, SOS Children Villages and others, has also undertaken 9 other consultations with children in Peru, Bolivia, El Salvador, Chile, Uruguay, Colombia, Nicaragua, Paraguay and Mexico.
