When a Parent Has Taken Their Own Life – Knowledge Report on Support for Children and Families Who Are Survivors of Suicide

Every year, hundreds of children in Sweden lose a parent to suicide. Despite this, crucial research on the mental health of the surviving children is lacking, and societal support for these children is inadequate. The report highlights how we as a society need to increase our knowledge of – and recognize the importance
of support for – this group of children and families.
